ATTENTION ALL LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS:
The County Extension Agents from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Cooperative Extension Program in Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy counties will be hosting their first annual Rio Grande Valley Livestock Showmanship Academy on Saturday November 9th, 2013 at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show Grounds in Mercedes, TX.
The event will be open to any youth interested in show animals or is an existing showman. Youth participants are $10 and no charge for adults or children 7 years old or younger. Registration can be mailed in to Willacy County or hand-delivered to Cameron, Hidalgo, or Willacy Counties. The academy will provide sessions on quality counts, clipping sessions, showmanship presentations, on goats, lambs, hogs, and beef cattle. Lunch will be provided.
